Crow King of the Hunkpapa Sioux people. He was one of Sitting Bull's war chiefs at the Battle of the Little Big Horn where he led eighty warriors against Custer's men. For the duration of the battle he and his band with Crazy Horse and Gall surrounded the 7th Cavalry.

The warriors in these paintings were spiritual leaders of their people. I have portrayed them in the way European Renaissance painters would portray their spiritual leaders with halos around their heads.

Since the American Indians believe we are all connected to all living things I used natural skies for halos.
