She was her people's spiritual leader and possessed spiritual abilities 1hat enabled her to detect the movement of her enemies, allowing her to plan strategies. Her brother was the famous war chief Victoria.

The warriors in these paintings were spiritual leaders of their people. I have portrayed them in the way European Renaissance painters would portray their spiritual leaders with halos around their heads. Since the American Indians believe we are all connected to all living things I used natural skies for halos.
